Roy Braverman, born April 28th, 1954, is a multi-award-winning sound supervisor, sound editor, and composer. Besides having expertise in the latest sound technologies, Braverman is also a brilliantly talented musician.
Education[]
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Braverman attended George Washington High School from 1967 to 1971. Before working in the audio industry, Braverman attended Boston University to study medicine for two years.
Career[]
In 1976, Braverman woked as a keyboardist/songwriter for Serenade - RCA band, and began getting involved in audio recording in general in the late 1970s. He worked for eleve different companies, two of which he still works for, before founding Bravermania, Inc. in 2004. Recieving over two hundred credits for his work as a foley mixer, foley editor, and sound effects editor, Braverman's work within the scope of filmography ranges from 1984 to 2016. Among other shows, Braverman has worked on The Fairly OddParents, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Wander over Yonder, Phineas and Ferb, Fish Hooks, Transformers Prime, Gravity Falls, The Land Before Time (TV series), Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, Xiaolin Showdown, The Batman, Spongebob Squarepants, Hey Arnold!, I Am Weasel, Cow and Chicken, and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Concerning his involvement with Fish Hooks, Braverman is credited as a foley mixer for ninety-four episodes, and as a foley editor for ninety-three episodes.Additionally, Braverman is credited as a music editor for My Life as a Teenage Robot, Dexter's Laboratory, I Am Weasel, Cow and Chicken, and Darkwing Duck. In 2016, he worked on Visions of Warriors, a documentary concerning the use of innovative photography therapy to treat the mental illnesses of veterans from the Vietnam War era to the Iraq War, as a sound effects editor. Braverman was given special thanks in this documentary.
