On November 10, 2011, Tom Warburton's blog, Warburton Labs, reported that Fish Hooks had been greenlit for a third season. On June 13, 2012 Tim McKeon confirmed in a correspondance that the creators of "Fish Hooks" are in the middle of making season 3.

Now heading into its third season, Jones is excited to be introducing some new characters and situations that will both challenge high school buddies Bea, Milo, and Oscar as well as encourage growth and maturity, such as a Prom episode. He’s also looking forward to simplifying the visual style and bringing it back to the bright tones and collage effects found in the first season. On September 23, 2013, Tom Warburton announced that Season 3 will be the final season as they have finished the last episode.

On April 4, 2014, It ended with the last episode of Fish Hooks, called: "The Big Woo".

• The final episode was premiered in Russia in late December. 
• This season aired on Disney Channel, Fridays at 9 or 9:30
• This season aired on Disney XD, Wed-Fri at 12:30, part of Animacation, although starting on July 5, 2014, new episodes air weekends at 7:30PM
• After the show ended, reruns aired on Disney Channel from, April 5, 2014 to June 15, 2014. Then the show along with Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder moved from Disney Channel to Disney XD in the summer in 2014, and became an unofficial Disney XD original series.
